Halloween is upon us and this means that fall decor and pumpkin flavoured everything is everywhere.
Your pup shouldn’t have to miss out on all of the festive fun, plus plain pumpkin is very good for dogs. This way you’re also sneaking more veggies into yoir dog’s diet without even trying.
Make these healhy and tasty treats for them and they will love you forever.
My dog Chiko went crazy for them as you can see!

Ingredients:
⌁1/2 cup oat flour (ground oats)
⌁2tbsp ground flax seeds
⌁1/2 cup pumpkin purée (I baked a butternut squash and pureed the flesh)
⌁2tbsp apple sauce
⌁1tbsp natural peanut butter
⌁coconut oil to grease the moulds
Method:
Combine the oat flour and ground flax seeds (I simply put oats and flax seeds in a blender for this), then add all of the wet ingredients and stir well until you have an even mixture.
Grease your cupcake moulds – I used pumpkin shapes but you can use whatever you have – and fill the moulds all the way to the top. This batter doesn’t rise, so keep this in mind.
Bake at 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
Once cooled, I made a ‘frosting’ out of pumpkin purée and a little coconut yoghurt to fill the eyes and mouth of the pumkins but this is optional.
Makes 4-5 pupcakes.
Final step: watch your pup go crazy for them!

Yum!
